Silver Sands Evening of Giving This Weekend to Benefit Over a Dozen Local Charities
Miramar Beach, Fla. (November 16, 2011) – This weekend is Silver Sands Factory Stores seventh annual Evening of Giving event. The event will host over a dozen charities with an evening of holiday entertainment, events, sales and promotions. On Sunday, November 20 from 3-8 p.m., the local community is invited to attend an evening of live entertainment and exclusive discounts to benefit charitable organizations and their great causes. Tickets may be purchased for $5 from all participating charities or from Silver Sands Shopper Services on behalf of the organizations, with all ticket proceeds benefiting the charities. Throughout the evening, ticket holders can take advantage of exclusive savings while enjoying live entertainment.

In addition to the great discounts from many of the retailers the event will feature entertainment and the first lighting of the Center’s Christmas tree.
Tickets are available for purchase for $5 from participating charities or at Silver Sands Shopper Services on behalf of organizations such as Boys and Girls Club of the Emerald Coast, Children in Crisis, Emerald Coast Children’s Advocacy Center, Harvest House, St. Jude Research Hospital, Walton County Habitat for Humanity, Sinfonia Gulf Coast, Shelter House, Northwest Florida Symphony Guild, Fisher House of the Emerald Coast, Okaloosa Arts Alliance, American Cancer Society Relay For Life, Fort Walton Beach Community Chorus and many more. All ticket proceeds benefit the charities.
The evening begins at 3 p.m. with face painting and a take-home holiday craft provided by Abrakadoodle in the courtyard in front of Saks Fifth Avenue OFF 5TH, followed by the official kick off to the holiday season with the first lighting of the Center’s 40-foot tree at 5 p.m. The rest of the evening, ticket holders can continue to enjoy exclusive discounts, live musical performances and charitable fundraising events like “Dig for Diamonds” at San Gelato Café and Zales the Diamond Store
Ticket holders should begin their evening at Shopper Services, located between Juicy Couture and Michael Kors, to redeem their ticket stub for a chance to win a $500 Silver Sands shopping spree. Evening of Giving includes an array of fundraising in-store events and holiday entertainment including:
• 3-5 p.m. FREE children’s face painting and holiday craft project provided by Abrakadoodle, art education, in the courtyard in front of Saks Fifth Avenue OFF 5TH
• 3-8 p.m. Evening of Giving ticket holders enjoy exclusive savings and fundraising events throughout the Center
• 5 p.m. Holiday Lights in Concert kicks off the holiday season with the first lighting of the Center’s 40-foot tree in the courtyard in front of Saks Fifth Avenue OFF 5TH. This visually spectacular presentation features an amazing display of colorful lights synchronized to your favorite Christmas songs
• 5:30-6:30 p.m. Performance by High Voltage, a unique 14 piece group of local Middle and High School musicians that perform on special made electric violins, violas and cellos accompanied by bass and drums
