Santa’s Arrival Kicks-Off a Fun Filled Season of Festive Community Events at Silver Sands
Miramar Beach, Fla. (November 24, 2011) – Black Friday weekend only marks the beginning of a festive holiday season at Silver Sands Factory Stores. The Center is spreading holiday cheer with several community events and promotions to keep everyone in great spirits throughout the season.
Silver Sands is kicking off the month of December with the highly-anticipated arrival of Santa. On Saturday, December 3 at noon, Santa Claus himself will be arriving at Silver Sands via Sacred Heart Hospital’s AIRHeart Helicopter. Children, under the age of eight, are invited to dress up in festive holiday costume and accompany Santa in a fun parade to the Courtyard, located by Saks Fifth Avenue OFF 5TH. Contest winners from each age category will receive a $50 Silver Sands gift card as well as a donation made in their name to Sacred Heart Hospital on the Emerald Coast.
Complimentary photos with Santa will be available until 1:45 p.m. in addition to free face painting provided by Abrakadoodle and a special holiday craft project that will benefit Sacred Heart. Children are invited to create painted ceiling tiles that will go into the Pediatric Post Anesthesia Care Unit, part of Sacred Heart’s new Heart & Vascular Center. Children will work together to create ceiling tile masterpieces inspired by famous artists to be enjoyed year round by all at Sacred Heart.
Charity Gift, sponsored by Sinfonia Gulf Coast, also opens on Saturday, December 3 near Shopper Services, between DKNY and Juicy Couture. This charity event is a great opportunity to take the burden of gift wrapping off your shoulders and give back to the community. Sinfonia volunteers will wrap gifts of all shapes and sizes, with various price points and paper selections available. Suggested donations are $2-$15, depending on size and quantity. Charity Gift Wrap will be open December 3-18 from 12 p.m. to 6 p.m.; December 19-23 from 12 p.m. to 9 p.m. and December 24 from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.
Shoppers can also choose to adopt an angel beginning on December 3 through December 14. The Families First Angel Tree will be located in Charity Gift Wrap to assist families in need this holiday season. A description of each child and gift suggestions will be available. Wrapped gifts must be returned to Charity Gift Wrap no later than December 14.
The holiday season is all about value so Silver Sands is offering shoppers even more discounts on designer deals. Beginning December 1-24, shoppers can save an additional 20 percent off one single item from select Silver Sands stores. Customers can obtain a hard copy of the coupon in local and regional newspapers, or can join the Silver Sands online VIP Club to print off the downloadable version at SilverSandsOutlet.com.
The Holiday Lights in Concert spectacular is back at Silver Sands throughout the holiday season from November 20 through January 1 from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. nightly. This visually spectacular presentation features an amazing display of over 70,000 colorful lights synchronized to your favorite Christmas songs. Holiday Lights in Concert takes place at the Christmas tree located in the Courtyard in front of Saks Fifth Avenue OFF 5TH. The event is free and open to the public.
