Fall Into the Festivities at Silver Sands Factory Stores
Miramar Beach, Fla. (September 27, 2011) – The gorgeous weather makes the fall a perfect time of year to enjoy the festivities leading up to the holiday season. October is an eventful month at Silver Sands Factory Stores with something for everyone including a purse auction and sale benefiting Shelter House, exciting Columbus Day sales, the 10th Anniversary Celebration of Autumn Tides, an artist signing reception with renowned artist Donna Burgess, a H.O.G. Rally and store-to-store trick-or-treating on Halloween.
Silver Sands will host Purses with a Purpose a two-day purse auction and sale benefiting Shelter House, domestic violence center. On Friday, October 7, 6 – 8 p.m. join in the fun at the VIP Party to get first pick of the designer purses while enjoying food from Carrabba’s Italian Grill and register to win door prizes. Tickets are only $5 and can be purchased in advance through Shelter House by calling (850) 243-1201 or the night of the event. On Saturday, October 8, 10 a.m. – 12 p.m. shoppers can enjoy muffins while shopping the final purse sale. The event will take place at Silver Sands Factory Stores between DKNY and Juicy Couture.
Silver Sands’ Autumn Tides Month celebration is a part of Autumn Tides, a series of unforgettable fall festivals sponsored by the South Walton Tourist Development Council. Named South Walton’s 2008 Artist of the Year, Donna Burgess has portrayed the essence of the beautiful fall season at South Walton in her collectable Autumn Tides artwork. Through her partnership with Silver Sands Factory Stores, Burgess offers shoppers a complimentary, limited edition 10th Anniversary Autumn Tides print when they redeem $300 in same-day receipts during the entire month of October. This year’s highly-anticipated artwork entitled “Tides of Tranquility” is available exclusively at Silver Sands from October 1 - 31 at Silver Sands Shopper Services kiosk, located between Michael Kors and Juicy Couture, from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. Monday through Saturday and 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Sunday. Guests also have the opportunity to meet Donna Burgess and have their print personally autographed and dedicated at the special artist signing. Saks Fifth Avenue OFF 5TH will host the signing reception on Saturday, October 15 from 1 - 4 p.m.

Bring the entire family to Silver Sands for the Harley Owners Group (H.O.G.) Rally on Saturday, October 22 from 9 – 11 a.m. to see four separate drill teams perform starting at 9 a.m. followed by the Parade of Flags at 11 a.m. Last year, over 2,000 H.O.G. members traveled from 40 different chapters, including New Zealand, to join the 2010 Florida State H.O.G. Rally. Arrive early for the best view of what will be an unforgettable performance.
Don’t be afraid of all of the ghosts and goblins at Silver Sands on October 31, it’s just the annual Halloween trick-or-treating event. Children are invited to dress up in their ghoulish costumes for a spooktacular trick-or-treating event from store-to-store on Monday, October 31 from 5 – 7 p.m.
